HR 5116, HRES 1344, HR4905, HR4997, HR5074, HR5325 - all related to the "America COMPETES Act". UA supported reauthorization of America Competes with authorized increases for selected Federal research funding agencies such as the National Science Foundation and Department of Energy. UA supported longer authorization period of 5 years rather than abbreviated authorization of 2-3 years. UA also weighed in against Miller provision to link public institutions provision of information to labor.

2011 Appropriations: - Agriculture Appropriations bill: UA weighed in in support of increased Agriculture research funding (NIFA)
- Homeland Security Appropriations bill - UA supported increased funding for University - based Centers of Excellence.
- Labor HHS Education Appropriations bill - UA supported (meetings with Member) increased funding for veterans transition and resiliency programs. Also in the Defense Appropriation bill for hypersonic wind tunnel to be built on campus.
