Support for USDOT/FHWA research, testing, reporting and more regarding technical issues surrounding the use of permeable pavements in surface transportation applications. Support consideration of permeable pavements uses on roadsides for stormwater mitigation, flooding control and cleaner water. Support expanded consideration of environmental concerns, green infrastructure, stormwater management and mitigation using permeable pavements, in all matters related to surface transportation. Support collaborations among FHWA, FEMA and EPA to create better focus on transportation policy as it intersects with emergency management and environmental programs. Monitor Access Board action relating to transportation pavements. Follow possible NOFAs from USDOT that might involve permeable pavements. Support implementation of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill and FY22 THUD appropriations under the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2022 and related committee materials affecting permeable pavements and all provision pertaining to permeables.
