Support permanent authority for work opportunity tax credit and VOW To Hire Heroes Act veterans credits against income and FICA tax, raise wage base for hiring people with serious disabilities to $30,000 (making maximum credit $12,000), and expand eligibility to long-term unemployed, Medicaid recipients, all workers in household receiving food stamps, residents of disaster areas, and private non-profit employers. Support tax extenders bill, not yet introduced, incorporating the above. Contact Labor, Treasury, OMB and White House for support of these efforts.
