HR 2068/S 862 Clarifying Law Around Insurance of Marijuana (CLAIM) Act, creates a safe harbor for insurers engaging in the business of insurance in connection with a cannabis-related legitimate business; HR 1996 Secure and Fair Enforcement (SAFE) Banking Act, creates protections for financial institutions that provide financial services to cannabis-related legitimate businesses and service providers for such businesses. Monitoring all legislation for insurance industry financial protections and safe harbor provisions.

HR 762/S 195 States Afforded Funding Extensions To Oppose Driving Recklessly In Vehicular Engagements (SAFE TO DRIVE) Act. We support these bills that would provide additional resources to state Transportation agencies to combat distracted driving. HR 1289/S 425 Complete Streets Act of 2021, requires States to establish complete streets programs aimed at roadway safety; HR 1300 Infrastructure Expansion Act of 2021, precludes absolute liability in any action against a property owner or contracor for projects receiving Federal financial assistance for infrastructure and transportation development; S 684 Connecting Americas Active Transportation System Act, directs the Secretary of Transportation to carry out an active transportation investment program to make grants to eligible applicants to build safe and connected options for bicycles and walkers within and between communities; S 941 Revitalizing American Priorities for Infrastructure Development (RAPID) Act, amends Title 23 of the United States Code to improve the Transportation Infrastructure Finance and Innovation (TIFIA) program. We are monitoring all infrastructure bills that designed to improve roadway safety.
