Joined other cotton organizations and agriculture and business groups on two letters to the Surface transportation Board (STB) regarding how the STB reviews excessive freight rail rates.
Worked with RMA regarding the announcement of several changes to Federal Crop Insurance Corporation regulations that were required by the 2018 Farm law.
Worked with EPA to secure and publicize the decision granting use of Sulfloxaflor on cotton.
Worked with USDA to implement policies based on NCC resolutions regarding warehouse bale shipment reporting. (BMAS and Shipping Order Updates)
Submitted comments on The Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration and Wage and Hour Divisions Notice of Proposed Rulemaking regarding proposed changes to the H-2A temporary agricultural labor certification program.
Worked with EPA to publicize the determination regarding chlorpyrifos and the Agencys decision to expedite the registration review process.
Worked with USDA Deputy Administrator for Farm Programs to seek approval for the 2019 JICBPC specifications.
Worked with the Senate on passage of the Family Farmer Relief Act of 2019.
Submitted comments to the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service regarding its latest proposal to revise and reinvigorate the Part 340 rules on the introduction and release of new genetically engineered organisms.
Worked with USDAs Risk Management Agency (RMA) to announce they will defer accrual of interest for all agricultural producers spring 2019 crop year insurance premiums to help the many farmers and ranchers affected by extreme weather in 2019.
Worked with EPA to issue guidance on August 9 regarding labeling of glyphosate products stating that the agency will no longer approve product labels claiming that glyphosate is known to cause cancer
Filed comments with EPA on their proposed guidance document for conducting ESA biological risk assessments for species potentially affected by pesticides that are under review. Following the process and engaging with EPA and other agencies as needed.
Communicated with USDA leadership about the 1) planned warehouse fee increase and 2) importance of minimizing program costs to limit the need for repeated fee increases on a frequent basis.
Sent a letter to the Senate Appropriations Committees Subcommittee on Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration and Related Agencies supporting USDAs budget request for AMS funding to update and modernize the IT systems necessary for the USWA and warehouse services functions.
Filed comments to the EPA in response to the publication of the Glyphosate Proposed Interim Registration Review Decision and monitored the issue.
Joined a letter to Senate and House members urging them to move quickly to support the reauthorization of the U.S. Export-Import Bank.
Issued a statement in support of the repeal of the Waters of the U.S. rule.
Worked with Congress on H.R. 4378, a Continuing Resolution to fund the government for FY 20 through November 21, 2019
Worked with the Senate on the FY20 Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration and Related Agencies appropriations bill.

Submitted comments on Peru proposal of phytosanitary requirements for cotton not carded and not combed cotton fiber.
Filed Comments to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration in response to the Agencys request for assistance in determining whether it should revise or clarify the definitions of agricultural commodity or livestock in the Hours of Service of Drivers regulations.
Participated in a roundtable discussion held by Members of the Congressional Western Caucus regarding the modernization of the Endangered Species Act.
Worked with USDA and the DOL regarding the use of H-2A employees to haul seed cotton modules to cotton gins.
Filed comments to the Department of Labor in response to their proposed changes to the Temporary Agricultural Employment of H-2A Nonimmigrants in the United States regulations.
Met with Congressional offices regarding possible expansion of the Generalized System of Preferences (GSP).
Conveyed concerns to USDA regarding transparency and timeliness of sales of CCC-owned cotton.
Met with USDA regarding changes to the Pima Competitiveness Program.
Met with UDA regarding changes to the Economic Adjustment Assistance to Textile Mills (EAATM) program.
