*Supported H.R. 2359 which proposes to add guidelines to class action awards under the Fair Credit Report Act (FCRA).
*Supported H.R. 898, the Credit Score Competition Act of 2015, that would require Government Sponsored Enterprises (GSEs) to adopt more than one credit scoring model for mortgage finance underwriting.
*Supported HR 435, the Credit Access and Inclusion Act, to amend to Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA)to remove impediments found in state or local laws which restrict full file reporting to consumer reporting agencies by such non-traditional information furnishers as energy and telecommunications utilities and other service providers.
*Opposed S. 744/H.R. 2683, Protecting Veterans Credit Act, which would prohibit credit bureaus from reporting medical debt arising from the Veterans Choice program.
*Reviewed legislative proposal to reform the Credit Repair Organizations Act (CROA) by allowing companies to attest to the Federal Trade Commission they are not acting as a credit repair entity for the purpose of providing credit educational solutions.
*Reviewed legislative proposal to prevent synthetic identity theft by allow nationwide consumer reporting agencies to verify social security numbers directly with the Social Security Administration.
*Opposed Rep. Smucker Amendment to H.R. 10, Financial Choice Act, which expressed the Sense of the Congress that consumer reporting agencies employ multi-factor authentication when contacted by consumers.
