Contacted and met with Representatives and Senators in support of funding for research and higher education/student financial aid programs in the President's FY 2017 budget (no bill number).
Contacted and met with Representatives, Senators, and staff to discuss Cornell University's institutional, programmatic priorities in the FY 2017 Appropriations process. Specific programs discussed include: federal undergraduate and graduate student aid, Title VI International Education, Sea Grant, Space Grant, Cooperative Extension, Hatch Act, AFRI, ARS, NSF, NIH, NEH and the humanities, National Animal Health Laboratory Network, DOE Office of Science, EERE, and Fulbright-Hays.

Met with and contacted Representatives and Senators and staff to advocate for federal undergraduate and graduate financial aid programs, both as part of the annual appropriations process (see Budget and Appropriations section), and as part of the Higher Education Act Reauthorization (no bill number). Specific programs include Pell Grant, Stafford subsidized loan, Perkins loan, public service loan forgiveness, income-based repayment.
