Exclusion requests under the List 3 China Tariffs--BASF has sought exemptions on tariffs for products not available in the U.S.

Issues surrounding cleanup standards for soil remediation at superfund sites and policies for encouraging faster clean up of superfund sites. Issues regarding use of ethylene oxide.
Clean Industrial Technology Act (H.R. 3978, H.R. 4230, S. 2300). BASF supports CITA as a step to addressing climate change, by encouragint the development and evaluation of innovative technologies aimed at increasing the technological and economic competitiveness of industry and manufacturing in the US and increasing emissions reductions in non-power industrial sectors.
Climate Change (no bills). BASF supports legislation on climate change that: ensure that reduction targets are economically feasible and technologically reasonable. Policies must allow energy-intensive and trade-exposed (EITE) companies to remain globally competitive (carbon leakage protection).

--Providing certainty on what constitutes patent-eligible subject matter and on the scope of protection for inventions that include the performance of functions
--Expressly prohibiting the patenting of naturally occurring human genes
--Creating an experimental use exemption from patent infringement - allowing innovators to engage in experimental uses free from concern of patent infringement
--Providing greater assurance of the validity and enforceability of future granted patents.
