Hospital Disproportionate Share Payments - Supported legislation (H.R. 1920) that would delay mandated DSH cuts in the Affordable Care Act.
Supported confirmation of Marilyn Tavenner to be Administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
Sustainable growth rate formula (H.R.574, Senate Finance, House Energy and Commerce and House Ways and Means Committee drafts) - Monitored ongoing discussions to replace the sustainable growth rate formula for Medicare reimbursement for physicians. Advocated against further cuts to hospital payments in order to offset replacement costs.

Pharmaceutical supply-chain security and shortages of prescription drugs - (H.R. 1919, S. 957) - Monitored legislative development of House and Senate "Track and Trace" legislation.
Unique device identification - Advocated for the release of the final rule implementing a unique device identification system for medical devices.

Monitored ongoing implementation efforts of new requirements for tax-exempt hospitals under the Affordable Care Act.
