Recommendations for the draft National Earthquake Hazards Reduction Program Reauthorization including:
Adding NOAA into program;

Expanding earthquake early warning activities nationally including a plan to describe costs;
Requiring a plan be developed to support real-time geodetic data and integration of geospatial data products; and
Supporting development of a plan to ensure a geographically diverse management for the Advanced national Seismic System.
Recommendations for the draft National Volcano Early Warning and Monitoring System (NVEWS) Reauthorization including:
Increasing authorized funding to keep pace with inflation;
Require update to management plan every five years;
Require management plan include recommendations for existing and new cooperative agreements;
Recommend advisory committee include individuals affiliated with the volcano observatories; and
Recommend that activities be coordinated with the volcano observatories.
Support for legislation requiring NSF to develop a plan to finance cybersecurity requirements for the academic research fleet (Accelerating Networking, Cyberinfrastructure, and Hardware for Oceanic Research Act).
