Worked with congressional delegation on the best strategy and what to expect in the upcoming farm bill including discussions about programs and funding. Worked specifically on farm bill amendment that would have provided additional resource for producers regarding good depredation problems. In addition, opposed legislation, HR 3798, regarding agreement between United Egg Producers and the Humane Society of the United States. Also, advocated for HR 872 to be included in House farm bill legislation.

Supported S. 1813, Moving Ahead for Progress in the 21st Century (MAP-21) and paide specific attention to Merkley amendment (SA 1653) dealing with farm exemptions. Also, worked on ensuring extension of the Secure Rural Schools program was part of the final package. Also, lobbied against money included in the Senate legislation for federal land acquisition remaining in the final package.
