- Advocated passage in the House and Senate of HR 5264 - initially entitled "Trade Preference Extension Act of 2008" and finally passed as the "Andean Trade Preference Extension Act of 2008." This was introduced and passed in this quarter.
- Advocated for passage in the House of HR 3905 - New Partnership for Development Act. It was introduced last year.
Lobbied to stop free trade agreements in the House and Senate.
- Advocated against passage of HR 5724, the "United States - Colombia Trade Promotion Agreement Implementation Act." This was introduced in this quarter.
Lobbied for passage of S. 2433, the Global Poverty Act of 2007. It was introduced last year.

-Lobbied for passage of S. Res. 470: Calling for a Comprehensive Regional Strategy for Chad, CAR and Darfur. Specifically, a resolution calling on the relevant governments, multilateral bodies, and non-state actors in Chad, the Central African Republic, and Sudan to devote ample political commitment and material resources towards the achievement and implementation of a negotiated
resolution to the national and regional conflicts in Chad, the Central African Republic, and Darfur, Sudan.
-Lobbied for passage of H. Res. 1011: Calling for a Comprehensive Regional Strategy for Chad, CAR and Darfur. Specifically, a resolution calling on the United States Government and the international community to promptly develop, fund, and implement a comprehensive regional strategy to protect civilians, facilitate humanitarian operations, contain and reduce violence, and contribute to conditions for sustainable peace and good governance in Chad, as well as in the wider region that includes the northern region of the Central African Republic and the Darfur region of Sudan.

-Lobbied the Senate/House Appropriations Subcommittees on State, Foreign Operations, and Related Programs for the FY08 Supplemental. Lobbied for Darfur appropriations requests - funding for the following programs/operations:
Contributions to International Peacekeeping Account (CIPA) for the UN-African Union Mission in Darfur ($334 million); Peacekeeping Operations (PKO) funding ($50 million); International Narcotics Control and Law Enforcement funding ($15 million);
International Disaster and Famine Assistance (IDFA) funding ($335 million); Economic Support Fund funding to support the census and political development programs in South Sudan related to the CPA ($70 million); Diplomatic and Consular Programs funding to support diplomatic efforts in Sudan ($1 million).
- Also lobbied the Financial Services and General Government Subcommittee for Office of Foreign Asset Control funding to support sanctions enforcement ($2.366 million).
- Lobbied the Senate/House Appropriations Subcommittees on State, Foreign Operations, and Related Programs for the FY09 Supplemental. Lobbied for Darfur appropriations requests - funding for the following programs/operations:
Contribution for International Peacekeeping Activities (CIPA) funding ($2.1 billion); Peacekeeping Operations (PKO) funding to support the training of new peacekeepers ($12 billion); and Core Humanitarian Accounts - lobbied for a doubling of the request for these core humanitarian accounts.
