In support of an FY23 Omnibus Appropriations Act and Appropriations reflecting authorized levels for Scientific Research agencies in the CHIPS+ Science Act. In support of FY23 Labor/HHS/Education appropriations for the National Institutes of Health, including Regional Biocontainment Labs; international education; Pell Grants; Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grants; Federal Work-study; and TRIO programs. In support of FY23 Commerce, Justice, Science appropriations for the National Science Foundation, Aeronautics Research at NASA and NIST Construction. In support of FY23 Defense Appropriations, including Science and Technology accounts for basic and applied research in all services, and specific increases in human performance, soldier protection, military medicine, regenerative medicine, additive manufacturing, Army analytics, electromagnetic radiation effects, and verified inherent control. In support of FY23 Interior Appropriations for the National Endowment for the Humanities. In support of FY23 State/Foreign Operations Appropriations for selected educational and cultural exchange programs, and certain USAID development assistance funding for wheelchair research and programs. In support of comprehensive authorization act on science, innovation and competitiveness, H.R. 4521 the America Creating Opportunities for Manufacturing, Pre-Eminence in Technology, and Economic Strength (COMPETES) Act of 2022, S.1260 the U.S Innovation and Competition Act (USICA), and the conference consideration of same. Specifically, in support of including strong and flexible authorizations of appropriations for NSF, the Department of Energy, and NIST; the creation of a new use-inspired research directorate at NSF while maintaining its commitment to fundamental research; measures to broaden the distribution of research funding without new unprecedented targeting of awards through EPSCoR; effective research security policies, measures to attract STEM talent to the U.S.; and reauthorization of Department of Education Title VI International Education Programs.
