APGA has also opposed legislation/regulations that would require public gas systems to post margin for over-the-counter deriviatives.

APGA has opposed an expansion of excess flow valve requirements and a change in the user-fee structure as part of the reauthorization of the Pipeline Safety Act. APGA has also lobbied specifically on S. 275, the Pipeline Safety Transportation Improvement Act, H.R. 2845 Pipeline Safety, Regulatory Certainty, and Job Creation Act of 2011, and H.R. 2937 the Pipeline Infrastructure and Community Protection Act of 2011.
