Dorothy Height/Whitney Young Social Work Reinvestment Act (HR 795/ S 686). This bill will improve the social work workforce. We have written letters to House members and made numerous phone calls to House staff. HR 3221, Student Aid Bill. Made phone calls, wrote letters and an alert urging NASW members to contact their Representatives. The Dorothy I. Height and Whitney M. Young, Jr. Social Work Reinvestment Act: The initiative attempts to address matters of recruitment/retention as
it pertains to the social work profession, in addition to the establishment of a social work commission to study significant problems with the profession; (H.R.795/S.686).
