Clarify to local banks that farmers qualify for PPP loans.
Permit 501(c)5 organizations to qualify for PPP.
Fix PPP - allow farmers to use Schedule F; include all business-related rental payments; permit 501(c)5 organizations to participate; make farmers eligible for EIDL.
Support H.R. 6611 which would increase USDA Commodity Credit Corporation spending authority by $50 billion. Support H.R. 6728 which would raise the borrow limit of the CCC to an inflation-adjusted $68 billion.
Sought clarification on how PPP and EIDL programs work and how farmers can access them.
Authorize robust funding increases for USDAs Commodity Credit Corporation (CCC) and subsequent increases in annual CCC spending to allow the annual Congressional appropriation for CCC to keep up with inflation. Provide for direct payments to farmers in all COVID-19 impacted segments of agriculture. Suspend USDA payment limitations for the duration of this crisis, primarily for pork producers. Earmark sufficient federal funding for the humane and safe disposal of depopulated pigs. Provide additional flexibility to help farmers restructure USDA loans. Provide significant USDA CCC funding in the next COVID 19 package directed to biofuel refineries to spur demand for agricultural commodity purchases. Request Congress appropriate more funding for the Small Business Administrations PPP and EIDL programs.
FSA easy access loan guarantees - simplified paperwork; flexed, less restrictive financial ratios; expedited approval; and use preferred provider standards for all.
Request SBA simplify and streamline PPP loan forgiveness applications for small businesses with loans of $100,000 or less and create reasonable safe harbor for borrowers with loans of $100,000 or less.
Support S. 3918 that would allow benefit from PPP by basing the loan amount on gross income, rather than net income.
Support automatic forgiveness at below a threshold dollar amount for PPP borrowers.
Support approval for a private request for USDA-NRCS funding for a wetland mitigation bank located in Illinois.
