Lobbying began in both chambers of the US Congress as well as the Executive NSC to provide the country of Thailand with US State & DOD AID funds to protect the integrity of its borders from communist & outside influence. This aid will be essential in protecting an overseas ally that has provided and will provide the US government with vital logistical support in the ASIA pacific which is a major defense and trade route for many western countries.
