Supporting House and Senate passage of H.AMDT. 1025 to H.R.2830, the Coast Guard Authorization bill, to require the Secretary of the department in which the Coast Guard is operating to maintain on an Internet site a numerical accounting of missing persons and alleged crimes committed on cruise ships, and to require cruise lines to include a link to this database on their public websites. Supporting the development of House and Senate legislation to ensure that cruise ship passengers and crew members who become
victims of crime while traveling can obtain access to justice and support services.
