R-CALF USA is an intervenor in the federal lawsuit, American Meat Institute et al. v. United States, in which the American Meat Institute, the National Cattlemen's Beef Association, and other meatpacker lobbying groups have alleged that the United States' country of origin labeling (COOL) law violates their First Amendment rights to free speech. R-CALF USA is defending the COOL law against this constitution-based attack.
