Lender delayed foreclosures and negative impact on community associations
--Prepared lobbying materials for CAI and CAI members for congressional contacts urging FHFA to cease lawsuits against community associations exercising their lawful right to foreclose on vacant and abandoned properties where Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac mortgage servicers have failed to follow contractual obligations to foreclose in a timely manner and to urge that FHFA pursue negligent servicers to recover losses rather than suing non-profit community associations which are not at fault.
FHA Reverse Mortgage (HECM) Rulemaking
--requests for information to FHA staff concerning proposed HECM rule
--prepared comment letter to FHA opposing provisions of proposed rule limiting access of seniors to HECM program in states that provide a statutory priority for community association liens.
