ARTBA met with members of Congress and Biden Administration officials to discuss myriad federal transportation issues, including the solvency of the Highway Trust Fund and reauthorization of the federal surface transportation program.
ARTBA met with House and Senate staff to discuss priorities for inclusion in surface transportation program reauthorization legislation.
ARTBA urged Congress to make reauthorization of the federal surface transportation program a central part of COVID-19 recovery efforts.
ARTBA urged Congress to make a comprehensive national vehicle miles travelled implementation program part of any surface transportation program reauthorization legislation.
ARTBA urged Congress to authorize $200 billion in highway and bridge stimulus in 2022 to be obligated through 2026.
ARTBA supported passage of S. 1931, the Surface Transportation Reauthorization Act of 2021. ARTBA also supported and opposed multiple amendments to the legislation.
ARTBA commended the introduction of H.R. 3341, the Surface Transportation Advanced through Reform, Technology and Efficient Review Act (Starter 2.0).
ARTBA supported the passage of H.R. 3684, the "Investing in a New Vision for the Environment and Surface Transportation in America" Act (INVEST Act). ARTBA also supported and opposed multiple amendments to the legislation.
