Comment on all Executive Orders and Requests for Information pertaining to changing or limiting the structure of US Financial Regulation system. All agency proposed rules, requests for Information or guidances concerning "fintech" firms and their chartering. Oppose all appropriations riders to subject independent agencies to restrictive, duplicative regulatory cost-benefit analysis and OMB/OIRA oversight. Bills include S2155, The Economic Growth, Regulatory Relief, and Consumer Protection Act, HR3746, The Business of Insurance Regulatory Reform Act of 2017; HR2396, The Privacy Notification Technical Clarification Act; HR435, The Credit Access and Inclusion Act of 2017; HR2706, The Financial Institution Customer Protection Act of 2017; HR10 (Financial Choice Act)/S370 (Repeal CFPB Act), S365 (Change Funding of CFPB), S387 (Consumer Financial Protection Bureau Accountability Act of 2017), S105 (Consumer Financial Protection Board Act of 2017), S626 (CFPB-IG Act of 2017), S552/HR1414 (Justice for Victims of Fraud Act of 2017), HR50 (Unfunded Mandates Information and Transparency Act of 2017), HR1116/S366 (TAILOR Act of 2017), HR1018 (CFPB Constitutional Reform Act of 2017) and SJR19/HJR73/HJR62 (To repeal CFPB Prepaid rule) and HJR 111/SJR47 to repeal CFPB arbitration rule. HR2133 (CLEARR Act of 2017 to weaken civil rights lending laws). HR5 (Regulatory Accountability Act) and similar regulatory/Administrative Procedures Act/benefit-cost analysis bills and riders. S1816, S1810, HR3878 and other bills to enact free credit freezes. S1786 (Secure Act)/HR3755 (Comprehensive Credit Reform Reporting Act and S1819/HR3783 (Equal Credit for All Acts) to amend the Fair Credit Reporting Act. HR3606 (Overdraft Protection Act). cOppose HR 3796 (Anti-Pyramid Scheme Promotion Act) and any riders to do same. Support stronger consumer privacy (S 964/HR 2356 MY DATA Act of 2017); S878 (To establish privacy protections); oppose bills to weaken consumer privacy, HR 2520 (BROWSER Act of 2017); Oppose HR2396 (Privacy Notification Technical Clarification Act). Urge CPSC to enact table saw protection rule. Support strong CPSC rules on small high-powered magnets. Oppose petitions to FCC urging weakening of Telephone Consumer Protection Act. Urge CPSC to recall Internet-connected products with security flaws that place consumers at risk. Urge FTC to investigate Internet-connected toys and watches that place children at security risk and may violate Children's Online Privacy Protection Act. Lobbied for free credit freeze legislation in-person and over the phone in support of the FREE Act.
