Elementary and Secondary Education reauthorization (no bill #) - preparation for reauthorization, advocated quality student assessments,literacy programs, data systems, utilization of education technology, electronic student records. Advocated against government funded development of open education resources in Dept of Labor Trade ADjustment Assistance Community College Training Grants. Provided input in support of White House Digital Promise Initiative.
Advocated for including links between secondary and post-secondary schools and increased use of learning technologies in S.329, STEM Education.
Pearson supported development of workable accessibility of education materials for persons with disabilities and is working through American Association Publishers to provide input to Department of Education's Advisory Commission on Accessible Instructional Materials in Postsecondary Education for Students with Disabilities.
