General education concerning the need to apply federal prevailing wages to the funds for construction in H.R. 3684, the "Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act," a bill to authorize funds for Federal-aid highways programs, water infrastructure, school construction, airports, public buildings and other infrastructure development. Lee Amdt. to HR. 3684, the "Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act," to pay for the infrastructure spending in the bill by repealing federal prevailing wage rates. S. 1260, the "United States Innovation and Competition Act of 2021," legislation to (in part) establish a critical supply chain resiliency program and the related need for the House to advance the funding for microchip manufacturing capacity that applies federal prevailing wage standards. Nomination of Jose Javier Rodriguez to lead the Department of Labor's Employment and Training Administration.
