Consolidated Appropriations Act (H.R. 2029) - Section 48 Investment Tax Credit: advocated for modifications to the credit to allow more combined heat and power system property to qualify. Adding waste heat to power system property to the credit (see S. 913).
Power Efficiency and Resiliency Act or the POWER Act (S. 1516, HR 2657) - modifies section 48 investment tax credit to increase capacity limitations, raise the credit to 30% and include waste heat to power system property to qualify for the credit. Also extends the credit through December 31, 2018.
Master Limited Partnerships Parity (H.R. 2883, S. 1656): allow the formation of master limited partnerships for renewable energy and energy efficiency infrastructure, including combined heat to power and waste heat to power systems.

The North American Energy Security and Infrastructure Act (H.R. 8), and The Energy Policy Modernization Act (S. 2012): Advocated adding waste heat to power to federal renewable energy purchase requirements, including at the Department of Defense. Advocated use of long-term scoring of energy savings performance contracting. Advocated encouraging greater use of waste heat to power system property on natural gas pipelines. Advocated for including waste heat to power as renewable energy for federal purchase requirements. Discussed the energy resiliency proposals in the "Architecture of Abundance" discussion drafts.
The Department of Defense Energy Security Act (DODESA) (H.R. 3108): in support of an assessment of Department of Defense installations to determine efficiency measures, including combined heat and power, and waste heat recovery, which would increase the resiliency of the installation.
