Legislative advocacy for energy efficiency issues, including, but not limited to, Federal energy issues, rebate programs, schools coordination, and Smart Building Acceleration. Efforts to authorize new programs for potential stimulus activities that can use efficiency to increase employment and authorizations, including but not limited to, Weatherization and State Energy programs. Coordinated efforts to facilitate discussions with the Department of Energy, the Environmental Protection Agency, and the White House on implementation of energy efficiency-related provisions in the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (Public Law 117-58) and the Inflation Reduction Act (Public Law 117-169).
ENG-related legislative efforts, including, but not limited to:
- Reintroduction of the Open Back Better Act, all provisions of the legislation.
- H.R.1 - Lower Energy Costs Act, provisions related to energy programs.
- H.R.1603 - Homeowner Energy Freedom Act, provisions related to energy programs.
- S.1936 - E-Access Act, provisions related to consumers access to utility data.
- H.R.3849/S.1821, the Rural Energy Savings Act, provisions related to reauthorization of the Rural Energy Savings Program
- Reintroduction of the Blue Collar to Green Collar Jobs Development Act, provisions related to the energy efficiency workforce.
- Reintroduction of the Weatherization Enhancement and Readiness Act, provisions related to increasing the allowances and flexibility within the weatherization program.

Advocated for increased funding of energy efficiency programs at the Department of Energy (DOE) in forthcoming FY24 Energy and Water appropriations, including programs and offices under the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE) and other energy-related Offices. Advocated for increased funding of the ENERGY STAR program at the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in forthcoming FY24 Interior and Environment appropriations.
