Concerning Fiscal Year 2018 funding for the Environmental Influences on Child Health Outcomes (ECHO) program at the National Institutes of Health. To oppose proposed budget cuts that would eliminate the Health Resources and Services Administration's Heritable Disorders Program.
Opposing the $91 million in cuts to the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA)s Title VII health professions and Title VIII nursing education programs, proposed in the Departments of Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act (HR 3358).
Endorsing Castor amendment to the House Fiscal Year 2018 appropriations package (HR 3354) that would provide $20 million for the Zika Pregnancy and Infant Registry and the Zika-related Birth Defects Surveillance programs at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Urging re authorization of

Urging benefit protections for mental health and substance use disorder treatment and recovery support services through the exchanges and individual/small group markets be maintained and that those benefits be offered consistent with the Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act (MHPAEA) in a legislative package to stabilize and strengthen the individual health insurance marketplace.
