Animal Welfare - Provided educational outreach on animal welfare practices of the dairy industry and opposed any new, more restrictive regulation on this issue.
Animal Handling - Downer Bill: Oppose a bill that would prohibit USDA from spending funds to reinspect downer cows.
Food, Animal Residue Avoidance Databank (FARAD) - Support funding for this system to provide the industry with information on how to avoid drug, pesticide and environmental contaminent residue problems.
Mandatory Animal ID - Support steps to make this mandatory.
Preservation of Antibiotics for Medical Treatment - HR 1549 and S 619 - Oppose legislation to avoid "overuse or misuse" of antibiotics in medicine and agriculture due to inappropriate limitations on needed antibiotics.
Veterinary Public Health Workforce Expansion Act - HR 2999 - Support bill to establish a grant program to build capacity in veterinarian medical education and expand the workforce of veterinarians.
Veterinary Services Investment Act - S 1709 and HR 3519 - Support bill to establish a grant program to develop, implement, and sustain veterinary services and relieve veterinary shortage situations.
Prevention of Equine Cruelty Act of 2009 - HR 503 and S 727 - Oppose bill essentially prohibiting human consumption of horse meat.
Prevention of Farm Cruelty Act - HR 4733 - Provide information on animal care practices on dairy farms.
HR 4356 - To amend the Humane Methods of Slaughter Act of 1958 to ensure the humane slaughter of nonambulatory cattle, and for other purposes.

Clean Air and Water - Addressing concerns to greatly expand the authority of the Environmental Protection Agency through the Clean Air Act and Clean Water Act.
Clean Water Restoration Act - S 787 - Legislation would expand the federal Clean Water Act jurisdiction to encompass not just navigable waters, but all waters of the United States. Lobbied in opposition to this major change to the Clean Water Act.
S 527 and HR 1426 - Support bill to prevent EPA from regulating methane emitted from livestock operations under the Clean Air Act.
Chesapeake Bay Watershed legislation - S 1816, HR 3842 and HR 5509 - Legislation to address the pollution levels in the Chesapeake Bay Watershed. Lobbied in opposition to the major changes in S 1816 and HR 3852. Supported efforts through HR 5509.
Greenhouse Gas Emissions - SJ Res 26, HJ Res 76, HR 4753 and S 3072 - Supported legislation to halt or delay efforts by EPA to regulate greenhouse gas emissions throught the Clean Air Act.

Imported Ethanol Parity Act - S 622 and HR 2359 - Supported bill requiring temporary duties on ethanol, as well as other measures.

Tracing and Recalling Agricultural Contamination Everywhere Act of 2009 - HR 814 - Directs USDA to establish a traceability system for all stages of manufacturing, processing, packaging and distribution of meat and poultry.
