-Signed letter calling for advancements, new investment, and policies to stabilize the antimicrobial market, ensure a robust and diverse antibiotic pipeline, and reduce antimicrobial resistance. The letter supported universal hospital reporting of antibiotic use and resistance data to the CDC National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN) and for HHS to provide funding for hospitals that may require initial support to establish stewardship programs and to begin reporting to NHSN. The letter also supported the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) five-year roadmap to enhance stewardship in veterinary settings and food-animal production.

-Signed letter expressing concern regarding two National Institutes of Health (NIH) guidances titled Changes to NIH Requirements Regarding Proposed Human Fetal Tissue Research and Clarifying Competing Application Instructions and Notice of Publication of Frequently Asked Questions Regarding Proposed Human Fetal Tissue Research. Our organization was concerned about proposed restrictions regarding federal research requiring the use of fetal tissue.

--Signed letter supporting the appointment of Dr. Norman E. Sharpless as the Commissioner of the Food and Drug Administration

-Signed letter requesting the delay of Protecting Access to Medicare Data Act (PAMA) data reporting period and supporting H.R. 3584, The Laboratory Access for Beneficiaries (LAB) Act.
-Submitted meeting summary document to the Hill that found widespread support for an out-of-pocket cap for Medicare Part D, allowing for installment paying for Part D prescription drugs, and consideration of realigning incentives in the Part D program that may currently prefer higher-cost products.
-Signed a Medicare Access for Patients Rx (MAPRx) letter that supported the out-of-pocket cap in Medicare Part D in the Prescription Drug Pricing Act of 2019.
-Signed letter supporting Improving Seniors Timely Access to Care Act of 2019 (H.R. 3107)
-Submitted letter thanking Sen. Menendez and Sen. Cassidy for working on introducing legislative language to allow for Medicare Part D beneficiaries to pay for their medications in installments.
-Signed letter supporting an extension of a Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) program to provide equitable relief for select individuals enrolled in a Marketplace plan who delayed Medicare enrollment during their Initial Enrollment Period.
-Signed letter to waive out-of-pocket costs for seniors on Medicare who have precancerous polyps removed during a colonoscopy.
-Submitted letter regarding a CMS proposed rule Medicare and Medicaid Programs; Requirements for Long-Term Care Facilities: Regulatory Provisions To Promote Efficiency, and Transparency calling for changes to prescribing practices and the rating system for antipsychotics in long-term care facilities.
-Ryne and Missy had meetings with Congressional staff to discuss allow the Medicare Part D program to allow for installment payments for prescription medication
