Support for permanent repeal and replacement of the Medicare SGR; Provided comments on payment reform to the House Ways and Means and Energy and Commerce Committees and Senate Finance Committee; Support payment reform to more accurately value cognitive care services; Support the preservation of the in-office ancillary exception to the Stark law;
Supporting the Enhanced Access to Medicaid Services Act (HR 1838/ S 755) which would add neurology, psychiatry, and Ob/Gyn to the ACA Medicaid at Medicare rates provision; Submitted comments via signon letter raising concerns with Medicare Advantage health plans network adequacy and process for notifying physicians about contract terminations; Met with senior staff to discuss neurology specific issues such as cognitive reimbursement, quality measurement and new payment delivery models; Discussed stroke episode of care and other payment models with CMMI staff; Discussed early detection of measures for AD and dementia with quality and coverage staff.
