H.R.3590: Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010 - Advocated on the implementation of new health reform laws that will improve access to health coverage; including provisions specific to older adults, the Pregnancy Assistance Fund, delivery system reform and Medicaid.
H.R. 4872: Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act of 2010 - Advocated for implementation in conjuction with H.R. 3590 Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010
Health Reform - Advocated to provide affordable health care coverage for all, protect and improve the Medicaid safety net, ensure hospital payment reductions coincide with coverage increases, preserve provider conscience protections & maintain current law on abortion, maintain consistency in requirements for charitable hospitals, and narrow the Medicare hospital readmissions policy & support delivery system reforms to improve quality of care.
