Generally communicated the importance of repealing and replacing the Waters of the U.S. Rule implemented by EPA.
Also communicated the need for streaming HUD regulations related to CDBG program that require extensive environmental reviews be undertaken to satisfy HUD's specific format, when the dairy farm used as the related business development project had already received explicit permit authority from the EPA in the form of an NPDES permit.

Communicated the need to expand existing investment tax credits for equipment used to collect biogas used to generate electricity to equipment used to in biogas projects that use the gas for other purposes, such as powering milk hauling trucks. In the same effort, promoted investment tax credits for agricultural nutrient resource recovery projects.
No legislation introduced on this subject in Q1 2017, but when introduced, it will be virtually identical to the Agriculture Environmental Stewardship Act of 2016, HR 5489.
