Hospital Value Based Purchasing - (S. 3101, S. 3118), General outreach and monitoring of legislative efforts on CMS VBP proposal to Congress.
Medicaid Regulations - (H.R. 3533, H.R. 5613, S. 2460, H.R. 2642) - Support for extending moratoriums on certain Medicaid regulations related to Medicaid Graduate Medical Education, Intergovernmental Transfers .
Medicare Recovery Audit Contractors - (H.R. 4105) - Supported legislation that would delay the nationwide roll-out of the Medicare Recovery Audit Contractor program.
Physician Self-Referral - ( H.R. 2642) - Supported including a provision in the Iraq War supplement Spending Legislation that would have prohibited the physician referral of patients to hospitals which they own or in which they invest.

Health Care Information Technology and Privacy of health information (S. 1693, H.R. 3800)- Supported passage of legislation to expand Health IT adoption for hospitals.
Opposed the addition of cumbersome privacy provisions (similar to S. 1814 and H.R. 5442) in the drafting of H.R. 6357, and opposed the included privacy provisions that would be difficult for hospitals to implement and manage.
Unique Device Identification - Supported the promulgation of regulations related to the implementation of a UDI System for Medical Devices (pursuant to related provision in the Food and Drug Administration Amendments Act of 2007). Encouraged Congressional outreach to the agency in support of promulgation of regulations.
Hospital Group Purchasing Organizations - General outreach and education efforts related to hospital group purchasing organizations. Supported the release of additional regulatory guidance related to average sales price for prescription drugs under the Medicare program.
Healthcare Disparities - Outreach and communication related to disparities in health care access and delivery.
Standing Delegated Medical Orders - Discussed interpretive guidance (S&C-08-12) related to standing delegated medical orders.
