Reform to Medicare/Social Security Law to eliminate barriers to access and discriminatory language related to access to and reimbursement for chiropractic care, including evaluation and management services that include exams, radiologic imaging as needed, the adjustment for acute and chronic conditions; as well as the need to rectify discrimination against Medicare beneficiaries who seek to privately contract with their doctor of chiropractic.

Promoting the need to expand system wide access to chiropractic care for all veterans and dependents with direct access (no MD referral required. To expand number of chiropractors on staff; as well as to increase the networking of local doctors of chiropractic with the VA so that veterans and dependents can receive care closer to home. Raise awareness of research that indicates that when chiropractic care for back pain is the first course of care, 50% or greater are not prescribed opioids. Inform about the differences between acute and chronic pain; and the difference between suppressing the symptom of pain and addressing the underlying factors leading to pain.
