Seeking to include in any legislative proposals developed by Congress or the Presidential Administration provisions that increase the use of public-private partnerships for infrastructure projects, including: expansion of the use of the Transportation Infrastructure Finance and Innovation Act (TIFIA) loan program, that was authorized by the Fixing Americas Surface Transportation (FAST) Act, P.L. 114-94 (December 4, 2015); additional revenue for the Highway Trust Fund originally authorized by the Federal-Aid Highway Act of 1956, Pub. L. 84-627 (June 29, 1956); removing the applicability of the Alternative Minimum Tax for private activity bonds, that were reauthorized under the American Taxpayer Relief Act of 2012, P.L. 112-240 (January 2, 2013); and amending the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to increase the national limitation amount for qualified highway or surface freight transfer facility bonds. Support for H.R.960, to amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to provide for the tax-exempt financing of certain government-owned buildings. Support for S.326, Public Buildings Renewal Act of 2017, for tax-exempt financing of qualified government buildings. Support H.R.3009, Sustainable Water Infrastructure Investment Act of 2017, to remove the volume cap for private activity bonds for facilities for furnishing of water and sewage facilities. Seeking regulatory and legislative changes to remove unnecessary barriers to transportation infrastructure projects in response to a Department of Transportation Notice of Review of Policy, Guidance, and Regulation, 82 Fed.
