- Corresponded with selected members of the Missouri congressional delegation to encourage endorsement of a "Dear Colleague" letter to delay federal statutory reductions in states' Medicaid Disproportionate Share Hospital allocations.
- Corresponded with the members of the Missouri congressional delegation to forward a copy of a letter from the Missouri Hospital Association and the Kansas Hospital Association to Department of Health and Human Services officials regarding workplace violence in hospitals and other health care settings.
- Sent the members of the Missouri congressional delegation the Missouri Hospital Associations assessment of the fiscal implications to Missouri of the pending Graham-Cassidy health reform legislation.
- Corresponded with a member of the Missouri congressional delegation regarding activities to promote a delay in the federal statutory reductions in states Medicaid Disproportionate Share Hospital allocations.
- Corresponded with selected members of the Missouri congressional delegation to encourage endorsement of a joint House letter to CMS Administrator Verma to rescind a proposed rule to reduce Medicare Part B payment for drugs acquired through the 340B drug pricing program.

- During in-person visits to Washington DC, distributed and discussed information with selected members of the Missouri congressional delegation regarding: 1) preserving hospitals continued capacity to participate in the 340B drug discount program; 2) reauthorizations of the Childrens Health Insurance Program, Medicare payment programs for Medicare Dependent and Low-Volume Hospitals; 3) delay in the federal statutory reductions in states Medicaid Disproportionate Share Hospital allocations; 4) advocacy principles of the Missouri Hospital Association regarding block grants and other capped funding models for Medicaid; 5) repeal and replacement of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010; and 6) an update on regulatory advocacy initiatives regarding the use of Worksheet S-10 in determining Medicare Disproportionate Share Hospital payments and to discontinue mandatory participation in Medicare bundled payment models
- Distributed to the members of the Missouri congressional delegation a new Missouri Hospital Association document regarding the Childrens Health Insurance Program in Missouri.
- Distributed to the members of the Missouri congressional delegation a joint report by the Missouri Hospital Association, the Kansas Hospital Association and the Full Employment Council, Inc. of Kansas City. It assesses the relationship between opioid use and abuse and unemployment in Missouri and Kansas counties.
- Distributed to the members of the Missouri congressional delegation a copy of the Missouri Hospital Associations comment letter to CMS regarding its proposed rule to implement the states Medicaid Disproportionate Share Hospital allotment reductions slated to take effect October 1, 2017.
- Responding to a query from a member of the Missouri congressional delegation, MHA sent a media article on a new payment policy by Anthem, Inc. regarding payment for medical imaging services.
- Corresponded with a member of the Missouri congressional delegation regarding a proposed appeal by a Missouri physician of his exclusion from the Medicare and Medicaid programs due to a criminal conviction.
- Responding to a request from a member of the Missouri congressional delegation, MHA provided a list of hospitals in Missouri that participate in the 340B drug discount program.
- Corresponded with the members of the Missouri congressional delegation regarding a final rule by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services regarding the use of Worksheet S-10 in determining Medicare Disproportionate Share Hospital payments and a potential legislative effort to reverse that agency rule.
