Urged Congress to increase funding at the level of $3.7 billion requested by the Administration to provide the Departments of Health and Human Services/Office of Refugee Resettlement, Homeland Security, Justice and others with adequate resources to ensure that children are receiving the proper treatment and services based on their unique needs and vulnerabilities.
Urged Congress to reject any proposal to change the statutes in the Trafficking Victims Protection Act regarding the process for unaccompanied children from non-contiguous countries in order to expedite removal proceedings, which would undermine child safety and due process.
S.744 - The Border Security, Economic Opportunity, and Immigration Modernization Act - Urged the House of Representatives to approve comprehensive immigration reform legislation.

Record (EHR) Incentive Program in 2015 - Request HHS provide for a shortened, 90-day
EHR reporting period in 2015, which would give time for providers to continue their transition without having to drop out of the program.
Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) - Urged Congress to take action and continue funding the programs.
DSH Reduction relief Act of 2013 (S.1555 and H.R. 1920) Urged Congress to support legislation which would delay scheduled reductions to the Medicare and Medicaid Disproportionate Share Hospital (DSH) programs to allow states additional time to determine the level of health care coverage expansions.
S. 2110 - the Medicare SGR Repeal and Beneficiary Access Improvement Act of 2014 - Urged Senators to enact legislation to repeal and replace the Medicare physician payment formula, specifically the sustainable growth rate (SGR) to ensure adequate Medicare reimbursement for physicians who treat seniors.
Urged the Department of Health and Human Services to continue to promote the Medicaid final rule which would ensure that individual's rights and protections under Medicaid are upheld when considering state Medicaid 1115 waivers.
Urged Congress to extend the HEN program for at least an additional year.
S. 569 and H.R. 1179 Improving Access to Medicare Coverage Act of 2013 - The bill amends the Medicare statute's definition of "post hospital extended care services" to clarify that Medicare beneficiaries in observation are deemed inpatients in the hospital.

The Palliative Care and Hospice Education and Training Act (S. 641 and H.R. 1339) - Legislation would increase the number of permanent faculty in palliative care at accredited allopathic and osteopathic medical schools, nursing schools and other programs to promote education in palliative care and hospice,and to support the development of faculty careers in academic palliative medicine.
The Patient Centered Quality Care for Life Act (H.R. 1666 and S. 2800) - The legislation provides new resources for palliative care research, professional training and education outreach to help expand the availability of palliative care for all patients and families facing serious or life-threatening illness.
Chemicals in Commerce Act (CICA) - Urged the Energy and Commerce Committee to propose meaningful reform of the Toxic Substances Control Act that would enable the U.S. EPA to protect public health and the environment.
Requested that the Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS)issue a written statement on behalf of the entire department confirming that HHS is not discouraging hospital-affiliated or other charitable foundations from subsidizing premiums purchased through the new Health Insurance Marketplace (exchanges) or cost-sharing expenses for needy enrollees.
