1. Monitored likelihood of possible legislative activity in appropriations (both House and Senate) regarding sugar policy.
2. Implementation of the provisions of the 2014 Farm Bill sugar policy.
3. SUPPORTED the "Biotech Labeling Solutions Act," (S 2609)and encouraged senators to support the voluntary federal preemption labeling bill for foods that contain genetically engineered ingredients. This would preempt state labeling laws and initiatives. Signed letters to senators and held numerous meetings with members and staff.
