Provides funding for the division of Diabetes Translation (DDT) at the centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as well as funding for research at the National Institutes of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) at the National Institute of Health (NIH). We lobby for increased funding for both of these agencies, on behalf of those who will benefit from the research and education/information programs that they provide.

H.R. 3/S. 5, Stem Cell Research Enhancement Act of 2007
Support entire bill; Expands the number of lines of stem cells that can currently be used for federally-funded research efforts. We advocate for the continued expansion of this line of research, under strict ethical guidelines that are also provided as part of the legislation.

Support entire bill; Legislation expands screening, diagnosis, data collection and treatment of gestational diabetes and the children born from women with gestational diabetes.
