2018 Farm Bill (support for funding and programs and related amendments to H.R. 2 - Agriculture Improvement Act of 2018 and S. 3042, the Agriculture Improvement Act of 2018); improving the conservation title programs; supporting crop insurance, commodity and other risk management programs and opposing measures which would restrict ability of farmers to use such programs; support for inclusion of funding for crop insurance education for targeted states underserved for crop insurance; clarifying definition of actively engaged; support for improved dairy policy and related issues (dairy financial crisis and solutions to address the problem, dairy risk management programs; Livestock Gross Margin for Dairy, and Margin Protection Program); labeling of plant-based beverages as dairy; challenges and needed improvements to Risk Management Agency (RMA) crop insurance programs for potatoes; support for the RMA extend the time to harvest in Northeast states impacted by the wet weather, request that RMA encourage approved insurance providers provide flexibility for harvest for producers in Northeast states affected by wet weather and request that RMA provide additional clarity to farmers by updating their "delayed harvest-wet conditions" fact sheet; and support for accurate labeling of agricultural products and imitation counterparts.
