S.1194 - Recycling and Composting Accountability Act, S. 1189 - Recycling and Infrastructure Accessibility Act. BASF supports policies to promote advanced recycling and composting and to improve and enhance recovery and recycling infrastructure, rather than ban or tax certain products.
Implementation of 2016 reforms to Toxic Substances Control Act [P.L.94-469]. BASF supports regulatory processes that are science-based, transparent, and stable, as well as increased EPA funding and staffing and increased regulatory efficiency so that safe, sustainable chemistries can reach the market in a timely manner.
H.R.4470 - Protecting and Securing Chemical Facilities from Terrorist Attacks Act of 2023. BASF supports public policies to promote security and safety at chemical plants and across our supply chain. This includes ensuring the CFATS program is reauthorized in a timely manner.

Global Plastics Treaty (no bills). BASF supports the development of a global plastics treaty to eliminate plastic pollution and to achieve this goal, all innovative recycling technologies need to be utilized.

S.542 - CCU Parity Act of 2023. BASF supports parity for carbon utilization under IRC Sec. 45Q.
Implementation of Inflation Reduction Act (P.L.117-169). BASF supports the inclusion of raw materials under the Section 45X incentive and believes that restrictive parameters under the Section 45V incentive may disadvantage certain geographic regions and hydrogen production types.
H.R.7024 - Tax Relief for American Families and Workers Act of 2024. BASF supports tax law changes that provide immediate R&D expensing, a more flexible standard for interest deductibility, and full expensing of capital equipment purchases.
Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA - P.L.115-97). BASF supports renewal of various business provisions in the TCJA that are currently scheduled to expire at the end of 2025.
