Reported and presented documentation illustrating the poor financial conditions for U.S. dairy farmers and the need for prompt action for federal legislation to improve national dairy programs. Support dairy farmer's recently proposed national dairy policy legislation for the upcoming Farm Bill.
Continue to meet with House and Senate members and staffs, as well as Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) and staff regarding reasonable regulations for farmer owned cooperative members.

Participated in meetings related to farm labor needs seeking help through federal programs and/or legislation. Supportive of S. 852 and H.R. 1720 - H-2A Improvement Act. Improves the H-2A agriculture program for use by dairy workers, sheepherders and goat herders and for other purposes. Also support S. 1258 Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act of 2011.

Trans-Pacific Partnership Free Trade Agreement now being considered by President Obama's Administration. We are opposed to this agreement if New Zealand dairy products are included with free trade status. Support the three pending Free Trade Agreements (FTA's) for South Korea, Panama and Colombia.
Supported the U.S. Dept. of Transportation's (DOT) proposed rule to resolve the U.S. - Mexico trucking dispute related to NAFTA.
Continue to oppose any legislative action that would prohibit or reduce funding of the Market Access Program (MAP), which serves as an important boost to U.S. agriculture exports.
