Section 1747, which would prohibit EPA from expanding the jurisdiction of the Clean Water Act (CWA) to waters the law was never intended to cover; Section 1419, which would limit the Nuclear Regulatory Commissions (NRC) ability to take any further action related to closure of the Yucca Mountain geologic repository until it reverses the pending Atomic Safety Licensing Boards finding that the Department of Energy has no legal mechanism to withdraw its license application; Amendment #94 offered by Chairman Kline which would prevent the Department of Education from using any funds to implement the proposed gainful employment regulation; amendments related to limiting funding for the National Labor Relations Board to prevent the Board from modifying the standard it uses to determine what constitutes an appropriate bargaining unit for union organizing and collective bargaining; amendments to improve accountability and congressional oversight of the Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection (BCFP) by ensuring that this Bureau, which was created in the recently enacted Dodd-Frank law, would be funded through the traditional appropriations process; Amendments #121 and #122, offered by Rep. Lipinski, which would ensure that U.S. industry and agriculture continue to be harmed by punishing retaliatory tariffs established by Mexico because of the failure of the United States to meet its commitment regarding cross border cargo shipments from Mexico; Amendment #29, offered by Rep. Heller, would eliminate U.S. contributions of multilateral assistance funds and significantly impair opportunities for expanded access for U.S. companies in developing markets; various amendments that would limit domestic energy production, including amendments that would levy new punitive taxes and new fees on energy production; Amendment # 439 offered by Rep. Doyle would require all federal agencies exceeding $100 million in extramural research to make final manuscripts of peer-reviewed, private-sector journal articles that report on federally-funded research freely available on the Internet; several amendments that would enable America to maximize all domestic energy resources by expanding access for on shore energy production on federal lands and off shore production in the Gulf of Mexico and the Arctic; various amendments would prohibit certain rulemakings that the Environmental Protection Agency seeks to promulgate that exceed its authority or impose overly costly and burdensome requirements.
