H.R. 6723, Universal Broadband Act -- would reform the current USF contributions methodology;
Supported proposals to temporarily suspend or eliminate the FCC's Budget Control Mechanism (BCM) for CAF-BLS carriers during the current COVID-19 pandemic.
Broadband:
H.R. 6394/S. 3569, Keeping Critical Connections Act -- allows small Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to be reimbursed from a fund at the FCC for costs associated with the FCC's Pledge to Keep Americans Connected
Health and Economic Recovery Omnibus Emergency Solutions (HEROES) Act -- provisions regarding broadband access and deployment
H.R. 2, Moving Forward Act (formerly the LIFT Act) -- provisions regarding broadband buildout in certain areas, "enhanced Lifeline" provisions, E-Rate funding for teachers and students to purchase certain equipment to obtain broadband access at home
S. 4021, Accelerating Broadband Connectivity Act -- allows the FCC to offer Rural Digital Opportunity Fund (RDOF) Phase I and II winners additional money for if they agree to certain advance deployment buildout criteria
S. 4015, Rural Connectivity Advancement Program -- directs 10% of future spectrum auction proceeds to a program the FCC shall use to fund broadband networks in rural areas that do no have 25/3 Mbps broadband service
H.R. 5850, Bridging the Tribal Digital Divide Act
H.R. 2929, the Rural Broadband Network Advancement Act -- requires large edge providers and other high-bandwidth cost-causers to contribute to the transport costs associated with delivering high volumes of content
Telecom Supply Chain: H.R. 4459, Secure and Trusted Communications Networks Act, which prohibits Federal funds from being used to purchase equipment or services that pose national security risks and provides reimbursement for replacing such equipment that's already been deployed; advocated for fully funding the FCC's request for the "rip and replace" mandate.
H.R. 6488, Streamlining Permitting to Enable Sufficient Deployment of Broadband Infrastructure Act -- exempts broadband facilities from certain environmental and historic preservation requirements on Federal property where communications facilities have already been approved
House Broadband Taskforce's Broadband Legislation -- various aspects of proposal concerning broadband access and deployment
Telecom on Public Lands: H.R. 2611, the Public Lands Telecom Act which supports the establishment and importance of communications sites on or adjacent to Federal lands.
