Following the implementation of health care reform legislation focussed specifically on issues that effect individuals with a disability like non-discrimination, what is in the covered pakage, exchanges, and corporate wellness programs. One issue we really focussed on was the CLASS Act that would create a voluntary long-term insurance program. Also following legislative proposals to fund or defund health care reform and make modifications to the existing law. Finally proposed changes to Medicaid and Medicare.

Also working to ensure that regulations from the new Administration are helpful for individuals with disabilities. Raising concerns with medicaid funding being used to support segregated employment, or non-community living situations for individuals with disabilities. Our work here was focussed on helping individuals with disabilities achieve employment through legislation like the Rehab Act which includes the PAIR and CAP programs.
