Joined list of organizations supporting H.Res 708 - Expressing the sense of the House of Representatives that the immigration policies of the United States should reduce automatic removal and detention, restore due process for immigrants, and repeal unnecessary barriers to legal immigration. Allowed organization name to be reported to other congressional offices as supporting of the resolution.

Met with DHS stakeholders and organizations to discuss proposed improvements to DACA program, including expanded fee waivers, barring use of confidential juvenile adjudications in DACA review, greater confidentiality protections, use of criminal history in adjudications, enforcement issues, advance parole for DACA holders, collateral immigration benefits, timely adjudications and procedural issues, EAD issues.

Signed on to letter urging greater gun safety reforms, and supporting Amendment 4750 to S. 2837 which would expand background checks for gun sales. Letter also opposed Amendment S. 4751, which would repeal provisions barring certain individuals involuntarily committed to a psychiatric facility from purchasing a gun. Letter was sent after Orlando shooting, where number of victims were Latino.
