All issues related to federal public transportation and highway programs, high-speed and intercity passenger rail programs, related authorization and appropriations laws, annual budget resolutions and legislation concerning the Highway Trust Fund and other transportation-related tax and revenue issues. Issues relating to proposals for a new infrastructure spending initiative. Tax policy as it relates to public transportation including the alternative fuel volumetric tax credit for CNG/LNG used in transit vehicles, the alternative fuel vehicle refueling property tax credit, the treatment of municipal bonds, the commuter tax benefit and the solvency of the Federal Highway Trust Fund. Matters related to the implementation of Moving Ahead for Progress in the 21st Century (MAP-21) and the Fixing America's Surface Transportation (FAST) Act. Issues related to implementation of Positive Train Control technologies on commuter railroads as mandated under the Rail Safety Improvement Act of 2008 and the Surface Transportation Extension Act of 2015. General issues related to successor legislation to the FAST Act. FY17 and FY18 budget and appropriation issues including preserving the Capital Investment Grant Program, the TIGER program, transit security grants and Amtrak funding.
