Met with numerous Flag Level Senior Officials from Federal Agencies: DOD (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps), DOE FEMP, and VA. Including: Rear Admiral Muihlenburg, BG Joe Simonelli, LTG Todd Semonite, and MG Ted Harrison.
Met with numerous members of Congress and their staffs including: Joe Wilson (R,SC), Joe Courtney (D,CT), Rob Wittman (R,VA), Paul Cook (R,CA), Mike Johnson (R,LA), Madeleine Bordallo (D, Guam), and Richard Sienecki (HASC staffer). Organized and moderated a Navy League of the U.S. (NLUS) Congressional Shipbuilding Caucus breakfast on the Hill. Organized (as National VP Legislative Affairs NLUS) briefings for the members of Congress and staffers attending the annual Sea Air Space Exposition 3-5 April and the NLUS Annual Convention in Milwaukee, WI, 22-24 June. Organized the Congressional Breakfast at the Sea Air Space Exposition 4 April.
Coordinated Legislation with Congressional staffs for inclusion in the 2017 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA): Cyber security language for Industrial Control Systems, Stored Energy, Navy Smart Shore, and Energy Savings Performance Contracting Concerns for Defense Installations.
Attended promotion ceremonies/assumptions of command, conducted office calls, and networked with senior military officials: Attended Commander NAVFAC Washington assumption of command. Met with Acting ASA IEE Randy Robinson and other top Army installation officials at Association of Defense Communities (ADC) Forum (note: organized and moderated an energy panel). Met with DOE FEMP officials, GEN Gus Perna new Commander Army Material Command, SES Dave Tindoll Director Army IMCOM Atlantic Region, LTG Todd Semonite Chief Army Corps of Engineers, SES Jack Surash Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army Energy and Sustainability, Rear Admiral Charles Rock Commander Naval District of Washington, and Colonel John Hurley Commander Huntsville Center Army COE.
Attended Navy League breakfasts with top officials: Vice Admiral Thomas Moore Commander Navy Sea Systems Command (with Andy Clancy York Navy Systems), Admiral Richardson Chief of Naval Operations, and Rear Admiral Bret Muilenburg Commander NAVFAC.
Coordinated and introduced JCFS account managers to key officials at Army Material Command Redstone Arsenal, AL; Ft Belvoir VA; Ft Leonard Wood, MO; and Ft Jackson, SC.
Attended, networked with senior government officials, and spoke at key Federal forums.
