Protection of home education from government regulation - meetings with various Congressional offices to talk about homeschooling success.
Meetings with Members of Congress and staff about protecting homeschool freedom in the reauthorization of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act, including protecting the language codified in 20 U.S.C. 7886, if Congress reauthorizes ESEA.

Opposition to any attempt to ratify the U.N. Convention on the Rights of the Child.
Opposition to any attempt to ratify the U.N. Convention On the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimation Against Women.
Opposition to any attempt to ratify the U.N. Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
Work on S. Res. 99, a Senate Resolution of opposition to ratification of the U.N. Convention on the Rights of the Child.
We conducted personal lobbying visits with Senators and their staff against the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. We drafted memos and articles about why the CRPD was harmful to parental rights. We also urged our grassroots to call, email, and write their senators and urge them to oppose the CRPD. We also worked with Members of the House of Representatives to have them send a letter to Senators urging opposition to the CRPD.

The CRPD would allow UN officials to oversee all decisions regarding children with disabilities under the treaty's use of the "best interests of the child" standard. The treaty would also cede US sovereignty to the UN.

Meetings with Members of House and Senate and their staff about the Parental Rights Amendment, S.J. Res. 42 and H.J.Res. 110. Urged grassroots calls in favor of these bills. The Amendment would preserve the right of parents to direct the education, upbringing, and care of their children.
