Support cash policies in the 117th congress including: Recovery Rebates to Individuals -- including $1400 payments to eligible people (Section 9601), and the expansions of the Child Tax Credit and Earned Income Credit (Sections 9611, 9612, 9621. 9622,9623,96,24,9625,9626,9631) of American Rescue Plan (HR 1319). Support the American Family Act (HR 928) to make the Child Tax Credits in the American Rescue Plan permanent.
Support recurring cash payments tied to economic conditions -- . until the economy recovers including Automatic Boost to Communities Act HR 1030 -- monthly payments to people until economy recovers.
Build support for other cash policies including: HR 2158 To provide emergency relief assistance under a modified Community Development Block Grant program for communities facing economic damage from civil and social crises, and for other purposes.
And from the 116th Congress support cash policies including: S 3516 Emergency Family Relief Act -- monthly payment to families until health emergency ends; Coronavirus Assistance for American Families Act S 4381 and HR 8893 that would disburse $1000 to each qualifying adult and dependent including thosefrom certain mixed status families. Also HR 9051 that would increase payments to $2000 for adults and dependents including certain mixed immigration status families.
Promote cash policies to end poverty and rebuild the middle class. Build support for policies that promote a Cost-of-Living Refund -- a bold expansion of the Earned Income Tax Credit that would benefit nearly half of all Americans and lift nearly 15 million people out of poverty including The EITC Modernization Act (HR 174) to update EITC definitions to include caregivers and low income students and provide for monthly payments. Specific legislation from 116th Congress includes: The Cost-of-Living Refund Act (S.527, HR 1431) to expand the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) -- increasing benefits across a wider income range,expanded definition of work to include caregivers and low income students; The LIFT Act (S.4) to create a monthly refundable tax credit to working Americans including low income students; The BOOST Act -- HR 3590 to to establish a refundable tax credit to increase the take-home pay of American workers and enhance their financial stability,The Worker Relief and Credit Reform Act (HR 5271)to expand and modernize the Earned Income Tax Credit.
